How to Change The Default Location for Installing Apps

As the sizes of hard drives increase, more people are using partitions to separate and store groups of files.

So therefore i am going to show you How to Change The Default Location for Installing Apps.

PC uses the C:\Programs files directory as the default base director into which new programs are installed. however, you can change the default location of installation drive and/ or directory by using a registry hack.

STEPS

Open the Registry Editor by using (win+R) and then type REGEDIT

It will display the Registry Editor for you and go to 

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrrentVersion 

look for the value named ProgramFilesDir. By default, this value will be C:\Program Files. 

Edit the value to any valid drive or Folder and Windows will use that new location as the default installation directory for new programs.
